Stan Gelber is an independent management consultant and author specializing in the following areas:
He has been involved with many domestic and international corporations including: The Stanford Medical Center, The Institute for Natural Resources, The Federal Government, Rolm/IBM, Mitel, the 3Com Corporation, Norwest Financial Services, Hewlett-Packard, MCI, AT&T, The XEROX Corporation, GTE Services Corporation, Hitachi Data Systems, and the Bank of America. He has over 35 years of extensive experience in all phases of management, data processing - data communications that includes: Director of Global Education, IS advisor for offshore development of large data centers throughout Asia incorporating data communications to locations around the world, and extensive data communications - data base management systems development. Mr. Gelber has also been involved in product planning and product marketing activities as well as management responsibilities for two major electronics manufactures. He additionally has provided extensive consulting to a number of companies in voice, data, and LAN technologies. Mr. Gelber has broad experience in the application and use of database management and communications processing systems with Open Foundation Apache, IBM (IMS - CICS), Tandem, Cullinet, and Cincom Systems Incorporated software. He has also provided training, consulting, and has been involved in software design for many international companies that included: The Xerox Corporation, GTE, Caltex Petroleum, National Semiconductor, The US Government, National Productivity Board of Singapore, Bank of America, HDS, and Fijutsu. His current activities include management consulting, extensive writing, course development and seminar presentations in the areas of sales, soft-skills, voice technology, computers, the Internet, LANs, and data communications.
Mr. Gelber has also provided interactive video/computer based training systems development for a major computer manufacturer and a telephone equipment supplier, and has written several books including
'Data Communications Today 2nd Edition (1997)', and 'The Emerging Digital Future(1996)'.
